ORIGINS

Rocky Mountain Audio was founded in March 2017 by Chris Rae.

Chris began running live audio for concerts in the late 90's for house shows (living room concerts) he hosted or filling in for FOH at DIY Records in Orlando, FL. His love of this expanded into: producing, recording and promoting bands; owning and operating a venue; throwing music festivals and playing in bands himself.

In 2011 he relocated to Fort Collins, CO with his wife and dog to start a family. Since then he has expanded into providing live event production for audiences up to 3000 attendees.

*2005-2011 Chris was a Production Manager and FOH Engineer for The Social in downtown Orlando, FL

​

*2011 he relocated to Fort Collins, CO with his wife and dog and with having no luck of landing local freelance work; began a new audio production company. In

 

*2012 with a co-worker from Guitar Center and college DJ friend, the three of them named it Rockfan Entertainment. 

​

*2013-2015 Chris took on the role of AV Director for Hilton in Fort Collins, CO while also working nights and weekends providing FOH mixing for bands, venues, and local festivals

​

*2017 Chris became tired of teaching and felt it best to sell his share of Rockfan and move on

​

*March 2017, one month later, Chris began Rocky Mountain Audio out of his garage in downtown Loveland, CO

​

*2019-2020 Chris participated as member of the Loveland Cultural Services Board

​

*2021 RMA added video production, video recording, video editing, video presentation, video streaming and virtual meeting capabilities to their list of services

​

*2022 RMA expanded their services to include New Mexico

​

*2023 RMA provided live sound engineering for The Fest - in Gainesville, FL

​

*2024 RMA provided volunteer road clean up services and participated in Fort Collins, CO - Adopt A Street  

​

Since then we have provided services for: Vogue Magazine, Danaher, Kroger, Walmart, HACH, Charlotte's Web, Devil's Thumb Ranch, Alpine Bank, Redeemed Community Church, Team Select Home Care, Oskar Blues, Colorado Rural Water Association, Backcountry Hunters & Anglers, City of Fort Collins, Drop-Off Productions, Weld-RE4 School District, Loveland Downtown District, Surfside 7, The Fest, FoCoMA, FoCoMX, Loveland Aleworks, Intelligent Growth Solutions, Colorado Soccer Association, LoCo Artisan Coffee, Loveland Habitat for Humanity, Loveland Meals on Wheels, Music City Hot Chicken, Northern Colorado Medical Society, Tivoli Brewing, Table 6 Productions, St. Vrain and Left Hand Water Conservancy District, The Sandler Training Team, Sweetie Pie Weddings, and Vail Resorts.
